Kat Dennings (born Katherine Litwack on June 13, 1986 in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania) is an American actress. Kat was homeschooled as a youth, graduating from high school early at age 14. By then, she had already begun her acting career, first appearing in commercials at the age of 10. She and her family relocated to Los Angeles, California, so she could pursue acting full-time. Her first professional debut came in 200, when she acted in an episode of Sex and the City. She starred on the short-lived WB sitcom, Raising Dad, featuring Bob Saget and Brie Larson. She had a recurring role on ER from 2005 to 2006 and appeared on CSI twice. Her feature film debut came in 2004, when she started opposite Hilary Duff in Raise Your Voice. She had supporting roles in The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Down In The Valley and Big Mamma’s House 2. Her role in Nick and Nora’s Infinite Playlist gained her critical acclaim. In 2011, she achieved a huge mainstream breakthrough, landing roles in the Marvel Studios movie Thor and being cast in the hit CBS sitcom, 2 Broke Girls.
