Today is not gonna be the day.
Liam Gallagher of Oasis is not honored that Oasis is nominated for induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
Hours after the rock institution announced its contenders for the Class of 2024, Liam, 51, took to X, the platform previously known as Twitter, writing: “F – – k the Rock n Roll hall of fame its full of BUMBACLARTS LG x.”
Other nominated acts include Mary J. Blige, Mariah Carey, Cher, Dave Matthews Band, Eric B. & Rakim, Foreigner, Peter Frampton, Jane’s Addiction, Kool & the Gang, Lenny Kravitz, the late Sinéad O’Connor, Ozzy Osbourne, Sade and A Tribe Called Quest.
A fan vote makes up a small portion of the Rock Hall tally to determine which musicians will be inducted. A fan on X tweeted their concern that the “Wonderwall” band had the least votes on Monday and urged fans to support them.
“Don’t waste your time … as much as it’s appreciated it’s all a load of bollox,” Liam responded.
“I don’t need some wank award by some geriatric in a cowboy hat,” he replied to another.
Liam, the group’s lead singer, also used the moment to bash his brother Noel Gallagher, who served as Oasis’ lead guitarist and primary songwriter.
The brothers notoriously butted heads just a few years after Oasis formed in Manchester, England, in 1991. The band broke up for good after a backstage spat between the siblings at a Paris concert in 2009.
If Oasis does get inducted, Liam claimed he won’t attend the ceremony in Cleveland, explaining Monday that he’ll be “washing my hair and having a pedicure and a manicure,” but assumed Noel would be there to accept the honor.
“This little fella loves hanging out with celebrities so he’d prob go,” he said of Noel.
The Post has contacted reps for Liam and Noel for comment.
The other Oasis members who will potentially be honored by the Rock Hall are Gem Archer, Paul Arthurs, Andy Bell, Tony McCarroll, Paul McGuigan and Alan White.
Liam isn’t the only artist to publicly mull rejecting a Rock Hall nomination. Country music legend Dolly Parton initially disputed that she was eligible for the nomination in 2022 before going on to accept it — and later releasing a rock album titled “Rockstar.”
